Sanneh-world-christianity My friend John Morehead has recently written a review of Lamin Sanneh's "Whose Religion Is Christianity? The Gospel beyond the West" that readers of this blog should find interesting.

One of things I found interesting is Sanneh's distinction between world Christianity and global Christianity. Personally I am not sure the two can be separated so easily. Many of the contributors to another book I am reading, Globalizing Theology, feel the same and use the phrases more interchangeably. Nevertheless it sounds like an interesting contribution

  1. Matt, thanks for mentioning Sanneh’s fine book and my recent post on it. I wouldn’t call my post a review as it’s more of my attempt to call attention to the book’s significance for Western Christians in reflecting on the implications of non-Western or Southern Hemisphere Christianity. I’ve posted a few quotes I’ve found intriguing. I hope others can engage the book and find it helpful. Thanks for the email exchanges on this topic.
