Thought for the day: Christian practice is about God imitation. But only where Christ imitation and God imitation are understood as being essentially the same thing.
Are we saved by God imitation? No! As God was focused on giving, so we should be focused on giving. We should not be focused on gaining anything through God imitation.

Good point Matt, too often we operate as if God is some kind of Holy slot machine, if we do this he gives us that… if only we could grasp the reality of true giving!

Yes, I think its sort of paradoxical, that we’re only truly saved when we forget about being saved and start spending ourselves on others as Jesus would.
