Just had two reminders of just how fragile life is today.
Earlier today I saw a small child get hit by a car.
Then when I got home, received a facebook message from a friend in Victoria telling me that a childhood friend died fairly prematurely at 59 years old.
It made me think about how human life is just way too previous and fragile for someone to hasten its end way too early from a bullet out of someone’s gun. And yet that message doesn’t seem to have got through to our pro-war policians (on both sides)who seem to only view the military option as the most effective way to settle political/religious disputes.
Yes, life is precious and fragile. Beautiful beyond words. I was called to reflect earlier today on all the family drownings over summer. So many tragedies.
