Is Jediism a Joke?

Here’s a comment I stumbled across on a forum dedicated to Jediism:

“A lot of people think this is a joke, but I have faith in this community. I think it’ll turn out great in years to come. I’m starting to question things all over again, and I think I’m more a Buddhist, but I’m here for everyone here.”

If you have followed this blog for any length of time you would probably be aware that I have an ongoing fascination for the way satire can give birth to serious spiritual exploration. It redefines the boundaries between humour and the holy.
