Why are we Christians so slow to accept that obedience comes through faith, not law?
Why are we so slow to grasp that if we Christians find Christian ethics so difficult – we who live in Christ – how much more must non-Christians?
Why then do we seek social salvation through legislation. Will it really make society more Christian? At best it will make it more Pharisaic.
The ends are visible in the means we use to achieve them.
