Spiritual or Religious? Why Not Both?

In my experience, religion without spirituality is harsh and judgemental, but spirituality without religion is shallow and flakey. It’s like the two brothers in the parable of the Prodigal Son, both of whom were lost in their own self-centredness in their own way.
