Reassurance in the face of corrupt leaders

I find it’s important to keep reminding myself of the good news, that the kingdoms of this world, with all their lies, and exploitation, and violence, will not have the last word. That the kingdom of God will. And that it is already making its presence felt in myriad ways. So as frustrating as it is to see leaders lie and apparently get away with all sorts of corrupt behaviour, God is not unaware or indifferent. God has already shown, through the resurrection of Jesus, that they are powerless to thwart God in the long run.
