Reflections on culture, nature, and spirituality from a Christian perspective

Transfiguration of Jesus by Fr. John Giuliani

Father John Giuliani, the founder of the Benedictine Grange, a small monastic community in Redding, has dedicated his life to ministries deeply rooted in contemplation. His spiritual practice extends into his artwork, where he is especially known for honoring Native American spirituality. In 2006, he was nominated for the prestigious Mother Teresa Award for his contributions as an American religious artist. His powerful and evocative works can be found in churches across the U.S. and in numerous private collections.

This particular painting portrays the Transfiguration of Jesus, a moment of profound spiritual significance, rendered through Giuliani’s unique artistic lens.
