Reflections on culture, nature, and spirituality from a Christian perspective

As an Australian, I watching the U.S. presidential election with a keen awareness of its global impact. Yet, as significant as the result may be, it’s vital to remember that the true hope for change in the world doesn’t rest with any national government. In God’s plan, his chosen agent of transformation isn’t the state but the church.

Ephesians reminds us, “His intent was that now, through the church, the manifold wisdom of God should be made known” (Ephesians 3:10-11). While nations and leaders have their roles, it’s through the church that God’s love, justice, and hope are revealed. When that’s not happening, the bigger problem is with the church. Today, we pray, we watch, and we trust in a purpose much larger than politics.
