Reflections on culture, nature, and spirituality from a Christian perspective

If you think diversity, equity, and inclusion are bad for the workplace, you’re really not going to like the kingdom of God — where not even merit is measured as an entry criterion.

The kingdom of God doesn’t run on resumes, rankings, or earned rewards. It welcomes the poor in spirit, the tax collector, the outcast, the prodigal — not because they checked the right boxes, but because grace doesn’t discriminate.

Diversity? Jesus surrounded himself with zealots, fishermen, women, Samaritans, and sinners.

Equity? The last are made first, and all receive the same wage regardless of when they showed up.

Inclusion? The banquet is open to those from the highways and hedges, not just the religious elite.

If our theology bristles at DEI, we might need to revisit the Gospels. Because God’s justice isn’t colorblind or merit-based — it’s scandalously generous, recklessly gracious, and relentlessly welcoming.
