I’ve discovered a great alternative to “contemporary” worship music – African tribal drumming! Yes, just when you thought the next worship alternative was hi-tech gadgetry I’ve been learning hi-touch rhythms on djembe drums with the local pagans. What a buzz! Attended my third monthly workshop last Friday and am improving each time. I’ve been wanting to do this for ages and am enjoying the drumming and the company immensly. A question – are some instruments more Christian than others? No? Then why not celebrate that way?
