In his last comment Philip expressed our wish for a wider dialogue on festival style outreach. At this point it would be appropriate for me to issue an open invite for interested EC Christians in the UK and further a field to converse with us at Thin Places.
What is Thin Places? It’s a discussion forum I started hosting in April 03 to discuss just these sort of issues among hands-on practitioners in the field. The membership (currently around 50) includes a number of international authors and MBS veterans with up to 16 years experience in festival style outreach. It also includes complete newbies so don’t that daunt anyone. It is not tied to any single church, denomination or ministry. What matters is openness.
A word of warning. If my recent post “Faith, Hope and Love: Some Considerations” scared the willies off you, well maybe it’s not the place for you. But if that only goads you further then we’d really like to hear your thoughts and collaborate.
