Reflections on culture, nature, and spirituality from a Christian perspective

Sorry to those people who’ve been waiting on my promised “Christians and Pagans in Conversation” posts. They are going to have to be delayed till sometime Sunday onwards now I’m afraid.

Although I have now (mostly) recovered from my multiple sicknesses, I am now in catch up mode electronic wise, and am locked into a busy real life schedule the rest of this week just to top it all off.

For starters, I was at the Converse “Churchless Faith”  workshop being run by Alan Jamieson and Mark Pierson from New Zealand last night and didn’t get home till around midnight. (Note: I ripped this photo, taken by Dean Tregenza, off Glen Powell’s facebook gallery, so drop in here if you want to see the rest. Oh, and thanks for the lift Dean, would have been much later without it!)

And Saturday I will be off to Black Stump, a Christian Music, Arts and Teaching Festival south of Sydney, similar to Greenbelt I gather, again till after midnight. I am looking forward to catching up with a lot of people there but it is sure to be exhausting.

And on top of all that we had a squirmy visitor last night who disrupted our sleep patterns for what hours of sleep remained before we had to get up for work.

So, if I have been overly slow in emailing back or responding to your comments or whatever over the last week, I haven’t been snubbing you, I have just been maxed out.

    Hey Matt,
I hope Blackstump is a great time. It’s the first one I’ll miss since starting work with TEAR in 2007. So I’m feeling a bit sad about it.
But also in need of some time with family. So that will be good.

Ben, I thought you’d been with TEAR a lot longer than that? BTW are you aware of the connection between me and Simon and Jane?

You’re right. Either brainsnap or typo – take your pick! I started work with TEAR in 2000.
I wasn’t aware of the connection until we had lunch with S & J on the weekend. How do you guys know each other?

We are members of the same church and I was a leader of the youth group with them for a number of years. Found we had a similar outlook on a number of issues, TEAR being one of them. I’ll be with Simon and some of the youth group at Stump this weekend in fact.
