It appears Cherie Blair, wife of the British Prime Minister, has been dabbling in a spot of fluff bunny Wicca. The article Bewitched, Bothered and Bewildered is typical tabloid gossip fodder with a lot of ignorance thrown in but nevertheless its an interesting indicator of how neopaganism is impacting our society. Surprise, surprise, the article reveals Cherie isn’t entirely comfortable with the Bush clan.

Well it wouldn’t be the first time Christians have dabbled in a spot of syncretism. But as I said this is obvious tabloid fodder. The writer is more interested in sensationalism that astute observation. I’d be keen to track down more reliable and objective information before reading anything more into this.
