In the course of an online conversation on theosis and associated researches I came across this quote which I rather liked:
“Deified humanity is united to God only in grace …”
In Christian mysticism we need to keep the holiness of God, and our consequent need for holiness, in
sharp focus. There can be no union without holiness, and no holiness
without grace.
Without God we cannot become one with God.
