I wanted to take a moment to jot down some highlights from the past two weeks before they slip from my memory. Amid all this soul-searching, I haven’t been keeping track of my experiences as much as I’d like, so here’s a quick synopsis of what’s been happening:
On Saturday, October 14th, I had the pleasure of having lunch with Paul Teusner, who was in Sydney to interview me and several of my blogging friends for his PhD research project on emerging church bloggers in Australia. It was a fantastic opportunity to share insights and connect over our shared experiences.

The following Saturday, October 21st, I organized a Thin Places gathering. We were privileged to hear from Simeon Payne and Phil Johnson about their visit to the Christ Temple, Tao Fong Shan, in Hong Kong, which was part of the recent Lausanne Gathering. The event was well-attended, and we welcomed some new faces to the group. As usual, we ended up going way over time—surprise, surprise! Simeon also brought me a beautifully illustrated Chinese gospel, which, as you can probably guess from my icon collection, was a much-appreciated gift. It now holds a proud place on my bookshelf.
Tonight, I’m looking forward to Converse, where we’ll be exploring an Emerging Church in Laylor Park. It promises to be an enlightening discussion.
Then, on Wednesday, I’ll be joining a Joseph Campbell study group with some Pagan friends who share my passion for mythology. I have a feeling it will be a fascinating evening full of rich conversation.
Lastly, Friday night marks the return of Anything Goes, which I’m excited about!
Whew! It’s been a busy couple of weeks, but I’m grateful for all the connections and experiences. Here’s to more adventures ahead!
