Religion in the News

Some religious news from the past week:

Sydney’s Anglican Archbishop, Peter Jensen, has defended a breakaway conference of church leaders in Jerusalem as the true keepers of the authority of the Bible and that while the church is not split it will not reunite until the divisions over human sexuality were resolved. Huh?

Obama has been accused of distorting the bible by a US evangelical leader. Apparently Obama has admitted the Sermon on the Mount is “a passage that is so radical that it’s doubtful that our Defense Department would survive its application.” Ha, I can only laugh.

28,000 pagans, druids and partygoers greeted the dawn at ancient Stonehenge for the summer solstice celebrations.

I was totally floored by this nightmare story of the 8-limbed ‘goddess’ baby from Jodhpur in India
