Some of you might be interested to hear I was published in Zadok Perspectives this month.

I was not going to mention this, as too be honest I was finding it difficult to face the end product, but I was encouraged by one of the guys at the Tony Jones dinner the other night who approached me and informed me that his conservative dad had read it and had actually liked it. Well, if it has helped someone to see things in a new light then it was worth it. The backstory is that I wrote it many weeks back when I was going through a very stressful time. I was approaching burnout. Last night helped me to look at things in a new perspective. You guys do encourage me you know.

Anyway, if you want to take a peek the article was called, Christ for Easternized Westerners. It was part of a special edition focussed on alternative spiritualities and included some other people I know from around the traps. My article was obviously focused on eastern spirituality in western contexts and how Christians might engage with it. Click through to Zadok Perspectives to see more.

Matt,
Would love to read your article. When will we be able to be read online? Edition 100 doesn’t seem to be available yet.
And there are many other articles that really piqued my interest, as well….

Ditto from me. Is it deemed unethical to want to read your article without subscribing to ZADOK? Do they have rights to it, or can you circulate it yourself?

Lucy, if we ever catch up for lunch (no I haven’t forgotten) I am sure I could give you a look at my complementary copy but if I recall correctly from the last time I did this these are restrictions against circulating it.

And the website even says that the subscription function is not currently working! What’s up with that?
Looks like we’ll just have to wait a little longer, eh?

Sounds good, Matt. Andrew and I can’t wait to synchronise schedules with ya… however, can’t do lunch on Sundays now as the R***** group meets then, but we are free after 3.00pm, or on Saturday lunchtimes as a general rule.
