Curious Christian

From my previous post you may have surmised that Hinduism should be of interest to me. Maybe you wounder, why don’t I talk about Hinduism more? Good question!

In actual fact, I do … in my offline context. I just don’t blog on Hinduism as much as Paganism because Hinduism is not as net based as Paganism, particularly when you are talking about folk Hinduism as opposed to the more philosophical strands of Hinduism.

But I do have advise to offer for the interested Christian. First of all, get yourself a copy of The Spirit of Hinduism by David Burnett. This is a great book which goes way beyond the oh-so-obvious observations that Hindus believe in reincarnation and karma, typical of most Christian literature on the subject. While not ignoring that, this one has real meat.

While I am on David Burnett though, also check out his other books The Spirit of Buddhism, World of the Spirits and Dawning of the Pagan Moon. These are all quality reads.
