Reflections on culture, nature, and spirituality from a Christian perspective

I was researching into Coptic Christian art this afternoon and had one of those “duh” moments, upon noticing how prominent the “escape to Egypt” motif was in Coptic Christian art.

Well of course it would be, wouldn’t it! I can be dumb sometimes.

Anyway I particularly liked this one showing the infant Jesus as the true power in Egypt. I won’t say any more about this other than, the more important symbol is the more subtle one.

Do you have any favourite Coptic Christian images?
