Reflections on culture, nature, and spirituality from a Christian perspective

Well, I do believe I predicted this some time ago, but some pastors are now exploring the idea of using holographic technology for multi-site churches. Takes incarnational ministry to new heights of existential whiplash. Could make commissioning through laying on of hands a tad difficult don’t you think?

It’s superior to ‘satellite’ churches simply watching the main service on big TVs. You don’t have to go far in Sydney to find that.

Fits right in with the culture of avatars, gravatars and virtual reality. There’s contextualisation for you.
Perhaps the membership application should begin “I saw your profile and want to be your friend”.

Well, I suppose their have been complaints for years about lack of organization ‘transparency’ and ‘accountability’ in Pentecostal circles. Now we can literally ‘pull the plug’ on wayward ministers.
