How graphic can a Bible get? This one aims to push some boundaries.

Samson turbine

This picture of Samson in extreme slaughter mode is from The Word for Word Bible Comic, a comic which, as the name implies, will include every text, chapter and verse.

Consequently, it is not for the kiddies. They warn, “This graphic novel will not shy away from any issue the Bible addresses. Unfortunately, due to the corruption of mankind these issues include violence, kidnapping, cold blooded murder, even rape. This work will not glamorize evil of any kind nor will it be explicit or dwell on these things but it will cover all the lessons the Bible teaches. This comic will therefore not be suitable for anyone under the age of 15 and even then will include parental advisory warnings.”

I think this will be a challenging read.

  1. I wouldn’t want to read it without “the mind of Christ” which contrasts with mere human understanding and involves Godly wisdom and discernment about spiritual matters and helps put any “lessons the Bible teaches” in perspective…
