Here is another fascinating astrological image of Jesus that I came across—this one a Byzantine piece, dated around 813–820 CE.
At its center stands Helios, symbolically identified as Christ by the cross, surrounded by twelve naked female figures representing the hours and twelve clothed apostles representing the months. Encircling them are the twelve signs of the zodiac.
What I find intriguing about this image is the suggestion that many early Christians were evidently comfortable with astrological imagery, as long as it was Christ-centered. This piece challenges both conventional counter-cult apologetics and contemporary interpretations of astrology, presenting a worldview where cosmic symbolism serves to deepen, rather than distract from, Christian faith.
