Exciting things are developing on the home front. Earlier this evening, I co-hosted a discussion session with a group of people interested in launching a new initiative aimed at helping at-risk youth.
This vision originated with a member of our church—a former crim whose life has been radically transformed after encountering Jesus. He’s now passionate about helping young people navigate life’s tough choices. Over time, he’s pulled together an inspiring group of individuals with backgrounds in law enforcement, correctional services, prison fellowship, and other relevant experiences.
Tonight, we worked through some initial ideas, channeling everyone’s energy into a focused vision. We’re now moving into the detailed planning phase. At this stage, I can’t share too much more, but if you know any Christians in the Sydney area who have been on either side of the law—and have been clean for some time—we’d love to connect with them. Former prisoners, those who’ve left the streets, or anyone with a story of redemption is welcome.
I was deeply moved by the testimonies shared this evening, filled with awe at how God has transformed and empowered each person. Please pray that God continues to strengthen this group, equipping them to make a lasting impact in young lives.
